On the Virtues of Strays & Orphans

They are gorgeous & vulnerable & full of soul.
* I mean isn't this exactly what we crave in our songwriters & artists.

I present to you exhibit A.

He comes in black 'n gray stripes too
(two kittens left... while supplies last) & needs someone JUST LIKE YOU to take him home and love him.

I present to you exhibit B.

Miley & Millie.
Two shelter dogs we fostered through
Austin Pets Alive.

Fostering is perfect for non-committal bleeding hearts. (Contact them - it's easy to do!)

You've got a perpetual puppy & an endless string of new friends o n the stree t just dying to talk to you.

& Exhibit C, our very own Penelope Moon.
(she's learning the tambourine & will be making her Please, Please Me debut soon!)

Another foster through Austin Pets Alive, but goddamnit, we couldn't give her back. She stared up at me with those soulful eyes, lined in coal black eyeliner (like Duran Duran), put on her white tuxedo shirt... and what could i do?

I told her to cozy up by the end of my bed, started writing my very first doggie love song & wondered how I'd made it so long without her.

Mutts always make the best dogs. Obama said so in a speech I saw... joking about how he's a mutt. (We're so obsessed w/ him being black, we forget he's half-white Kansan too.) Perhaps w/ pets and presidents, the maxim holds true. I'm a mutt. Aren't most of you???

So if you're looking for love.... try the kittens above.
(Seriously contact me at rockstar@jessietorrisi.com)

If you do your research you'll see a lot of pet mills have blood on t heir hands.

And spending a couple hundred dollars on a pet is soooo 1995.

So get in bed w/ the masses, the abandoned, the waiting to be loved, the superhero
es of the future. Stray Cats, Dogs, Humans Unite!!!!
